  • If you are looking for a fantastic wine tour including lots of beautiful British Columbia scenery, you can’t go wrong with this tour!

  • The Okanagan Valley is known as the “Wine Capital of Canada” with nearly a thousand acres of vines and 186 licensed grape wineries. There are some outstanding wineries here, you will be spoilt for choice! Even if someone in your party isn’t a wine enthusiast, it’s still a good time with lots of scenery and interesting places to visit. Osoyoos is a good choice during the wetter months as it averages only a quarter the rainfall typical of Vancouver.

  • Your tour starts with your private car and driver/guide meeting you at your hotel in Vancouver or other Greater Vancouver location around 8am.

  • We head east on Highway 1 through the Fraser Valley for a rest stop in Hope. Aprox. 90 minutes drive time.

  • We continue to follow Highway 1 for 45 minutes to Hell’s Gate. Take the Airtram down into the canyon and explore the exhibits, learn about the importance of this historical Aboriginal fishing ground, the damage done by turn of the century industrial activities, and the substantial efforts made to restore this critical salmon run and the aboriginal fishing economy. There’s an (almost) rigid foot suspension bridge over the canyon with a see-through grate deck. Just seeing the massive water flow surging through this bottle-neck canyon is remarkable. Self guided, admission NOT included.

  • back on the highway, we drive 50 minutes back through Hope turning east onto Highway 3 to our next stop, the Hope Slide lookout, for a leg stretch and a chance to view the devasting impact of this massive 47 million cubic meter landslide that permanently wiped out the highway the old highway route in 1965.

  • Next, we continue on scenic HWY 3 for 35 minutes to Manning Park for another stop. Lunch is available here if you would like.

  • We then continue our journey through the mountains until we reach your hotel in Osoyoos. Driving time is 2 hours plus stops at various view points along the way.

  • After settling in to your hotel, it’s time for dinner. Your driver will be waiting to take you to one of the several excellent restaurants at the local wineries. We will help you choose and ensure you have reservations. After dinner you are driven safely back to your hotel.

  • The next day we visit wineries. Lots of wineries! We head north through Oliver, stopping at the wineries of your choice, potentially ending in Penticton where you can have dinner in this popular lake side town. There are many great wineries within 20 minutes if you prefer less driving and more tasting! We then return to your hotel in Osoyoos for a second night.

  • On Day 3 there is time to explore the town of Osoyoos on foot if you wish, then we head north towards Kelowna. A stop at the architectural gem, Mission Hills Winery, is highly recommended. Mission Hills is an exceptional winery that offers private premium tastings if you wish. The wine shop is outstanding. They have a fantastic open air restaurant we highly recommend for lunch. A visit to the Kangaroo Farm is a possibility.

  • The trip back to downtown Vancouver is 4 hours. This time we take the Coquihalla Highway route to see more of beautiful British Columbia. There are several opportunities to stop along the way.

  • The Hotel is NOT included. Rates vary dramatically depending on the season. We recommend the Watermark Beach Resort, Spirit Ridge, and Walnut Beach Resort.

  • Tour price is for the car and driver/guide. 5% GST is extra. Personal spending, food & beverage are extra. Admission to all wineries and attractions is NOT included. Many wineries are free or inexpensive.
